Dr. Dog - “Warrior Man”
Digging this new track from the soon to be release Dr Dog record, ‘Be The Void.’ It sounds like some sort of awesome, star-crossed mix of David Bowie and Blitzen Trapper(sorry, that’s the best I could do. I am not good at the “sounds like blah blah blah” game. But, I know what I like, and I like this…a lot!

Bison - “Switzerland”
I am a word guy, first and foremost, but like 10 seconds into this song, the music alone had me hooked. Then the words came and it only got better. Then I listened to the entire record, and better still! Enjoy…

K’naan - “With God On Our Side”
Of ALL the amazing covers on this killer Bob Dylan tribute, ‘Chimes Of Freedom’, I think this one is my favorite…either this or Miley Cyrus.

Leonard Cohen - “Banjo”
Weird, dark, fog-filled evening here in Ohio. Going to attempt to soundtrack it perfectly with some brand new music from a real live living legend, Mr. Leonard Cohen. His new record, ‘Old Ideas’ comes out later this month. Much respect. And if you know me at all, you realized that I had no choice but to pick this song…it’s title sort of jumped off the page at me.

Mark Lanegan Band - “Harborview Hospital”
Speaking as a child of the 90’s, I still get really excited anytime there is new Mark Lanegan music coming out. He was/is without a doubt one of the truly unique voices of my generation. His latest record comes out in late February and is called ‘Blues Funeral’…here is one of my favorite tracks off of the record.

Chairlift - “Met Before”
Happy New Music Tuesday! For all of your synth pop needs, there is a brand new Chairlift record out today.

Tennis - “Traveling”
More dreamy pop from Tennis with their fortchoming new record ‘Young And Old.’ Last year’s ‘Cape Dory’ album was one of my favorites of 2011!
Here is one of my favorite tunes off of the new one…enjoy!

Camera Obscura - “Let’s Get Out Of This Country”
Tonight’s music post brought to you by the overpowering sense of wanderlust I am feeling.

Craig Finn - “No Future”
The Patron Saint of this little blog has a brand new record out on Tuesday. It’s brilliant. And it’s inspired in part by the best look at American life I have ever seen on television, Friday Night Lights. Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose.

Lucero - “Sometimes”
Brand new Lucero track! Can it be April already so I can see these boys again?? It’s been WAY too long. ‘Women And Work’ comes to us on March 13th…can, NOT, WAIT.
